It’s rare that I ever get to watch daytime television, but the other day I just so happened to come up upon a show called The Chew. There was a segment with world renowned skincare expert Susan Ciminelli showing viewers how to make your own homemade facial masks with things in our pantry.  Many times these “at home facial” segments are bologna but this one was definitely worth sharing! Below are the ingredients and instructions for the masks shown in this segment. Make sure to check out the segment to find out which mask best suits your skin type. Enjoy!!!

The Pureed Pumpkin and Prune Enzyme Peel

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup pitted prunes
1/2 Cup canned pumpkin puree
(not pumpkin pie filling)

How to make it:
Combine the prunes with 4 cups spring water in a pot and heat on low 30 minutes or until very tender and plump. Combine the prune mix with pumpkin puree in a food processor and pulse until a smooth paste forms. Apply the mixture to a clean face and neck and leave on 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Pineapple Pulp Mask

Ingredients:
Pineapple pulp

How to make it:
Take the pulp form a pineapple and put it all over our face and neck for a powerful natural peel that helps remove dead skin cells. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
